A sequence of feelings denotes a survey?

This is something posted on a corridor in the Aalto University campus in Espoo, Finland. The sign is asking for feedback on any issues, and for once the three basic languages commonly used in Finland are in essential alignment by context.

What caught my attention here was the usage of the pictorial component. We have a triplet of happy, neutral and sad faces, with none of them specifically singled out. And this sort of "counter-indexing" or lack of specificity is what then helps to see this sign as "requesting for input".
