This bright green sign depicts a modern CCTV camera with the text "recording video surveillance in [this] area". I can't remember where I took the image, but presumably in Finland due to the language.
This sign caught my attention by being a lot more iconic than what I usually come across. Nowadays I seem to see a lot more of these "dome-like" cameras when walking around, but the signs still often depict the "classical" CCTV camera. Such classical camera signs are curious as the sign has an icon of the classical camera, but the classical camera then functions as a symbol for the modern camera.
I feel this is connected to our earlier observations about "no vaping" signs; showing vape machinery is a new thing, with the typical solution being an icon of a cigarette functioning as a symbol for vaping.
