This post is part of our Boring series, where one Tuesdays we sometimes post analyses on signs we did not find particularly interesting. The idea is to offset personal biases.

We noted this EXIT sign on the floor of a hardware store in Espoo, Finland. The sign is the standard (emergency) exit sign which we presume are mandated by law. It has a symbolic text describing the what (EXIT) and a triangle functioning as an arrow pointing where (THERE).
It is quite warn, presumably after years of people walking over it at the store. As it seems to repeatedly be the case, these official law-mandated signs tend to feel boring to me.
