This is a photograph of a gas station door near Mäntyharju, Finland. My main interest here was the dog sign on the right side of the photo. It depicts a fluffy dog on some grass with the Finnish text "Meille ovat tervetulleita myös koiraystävät :)" (To us also dog friends are welcome.)
In this area of Central/Eastern Finland monolingual signs are more common as the percentage of Swedish-speakers is much lower than in the southern and western parts of Finland. In general I tend to pay attention to dog-related signs, but this one in particular caught my attention for being such an emphasizedly cute sign. The dog is described as a "dog friend", and the image shows a small fluffy dog, which is pretty much the polar opposite of the typical "Beware of the dangerous dog" signs you might more commonly see in rural areas.
