This sign I found in the same parking garage complex where I noted the banana peel sign in a trash can. The text says, both in Finnish and in Swedish:
Do you need an umbrella?
Borrow here, please!
and, for once the contents of these texts are actually equal (as far as I can tell!
Besides being a nice thing to do for the people parking there, it also contains an interesting image of an umbrella. The reason I find it interesting, is because it is a closed umbrella. Most umbrella signage I've come across1 tend to have the umbrella in its open, more iconic, configuration. I feel that the closedness of the umbrella is even emphasized by the extra whitespace around it - there would have been space for an opened umbrella, but this one is left closed. Furthermore, the umbrella still points up! Usually closed umbrellas are stored with the point down - perhaps this choice of orientation is there to hint that this is not a holder for storing your umbrella, but for picking one up?
It's also interesting to note that the sign did not list instructions in English. As a foreigner, I might not take an umbrella just based on this sign.
